The report provided an update on responses submitted to the Department for Transport in respect of its consultation on the refranchising of rail services in the south central area and to the Kent County Council Select Committee considering the implications of the Channel Tunnel Rail Line Domestic Service for the wider rail network across Kent.
Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that the submissions made on rail issues covered in the report be endorsed.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 20 October 2008.
